Material tests on plastics provide important data in quality assurance. For example, when it comes to checking curing, manufacturing processes, fiber reinforcement or material defects.
The GWP plastics laboratory offers its customers a wide range of testing services in the field of mechanical-technological testing, materialography and microscopy. Accredited laboratories with modern equipment are available in which the material and component properties of polymers, elastomers and composites are comprehensively characterized.
Range of services: Tensile tests, bending tests and notched bar impact tests
hardness tests
mechanical component tests according to customer specifications
Materialographic investigations, computed tomography, light and scanning electron microscopy.
Tensile and bending tests are among the most frequently performed tests in mechanical materials testing. They are used to characterize the strength and deformation behavior.
The GWP plastics laboratory offers tests according to all common standards.
Evaluation of the toughness behavior of plastics under sudden stress using notched test specimens.
according to Charpy, Dynstat or Izod
The hardness of plastics and hard rubber is an important material parameter.
The plastics laboratory carries out tests according to current standards. We also determine compression set and crush strength.
Materialographic investigations, computer tomography, light and scanning electron microscopy to characterize the structure and the internal structures. Thin-section technique
