Cross-cut test on coatings according to DIN EN ISO 2409

Test method for estimating the resistance of a coating to separation from the substrate. This method is not to be considered as a method for measuring adhesion strength. The procedure specified in ISO 4624 is used here. The test can be applied either as a yes/no test or, if appropriate circumstances exist, as a grading test with six steps. In the case of multi-layer systems, the interlayer adhesion strength can also be estimated. The test can be carried out on finished components and/or on specially manufactured sample plates. Suitable for specimens with a total layer thickness below 250 µm.
