Method for measuring the smoke produced on the surface of test pieces made of materials or composites. The method applies to test pieces having a substantially flat surface and a thickness not exceeding 25 mm, placed horizontally and subjected to heat radiation of a given intensity in a closed test chamber with or without the application of a pilot flame.
