Damage due to weathering VDI 3822 Sheet 2.1.8

Damage analysis is based on the guideline VDI 3822 sheet 2.1.8. This describes typical damage patterns on plastic products due to weathering and shows their damage mechanisms in order to enable comparisons with damage cases that have occurred. It provides information on the causes of damage and supports the identification of potential damage hypotheses and mechanisms. The resulting findings form the basis of targeted measures for damage remediation and prevention. Not only individual cases of damage (i.e. singular damage to individual products), but also serial damage (i.e. damage that has occurred in the same way to many products) are taken into account.
